That's not optimal. But it's also not a hallway in a Parisian Haussmann apartment :DYes, but just coming home as three and immediately putting down coats isn't really okay either.

From the wall to the stool is 1.20m. So you can get an idea of what that means. Otherwise, there is no storage in your design. The cold roof practically does not count, unless you do it like Karsten. Some people mind, others don’t. I think it’s a matter of taste. The staircase in the passage to the bathroom is almost gone, or rather it already disappears on the upper floor. We have seen this a few times already and it doesn’t bother us either. Is a floorboard width of 1.2m too little? Storage space is hardly/ not visible in the floor plan, that’s correct, but as you already said, the attic serves this purpose. Additionally, the office is also used as storage since only a desk and a shelf are planned there. One or two cabinets will still be placed there for storage. In the utility room, behind the door there will be a cabinet for small items. At the moment, that’s all we have for storage options and it’s completely sufficient for us :)

hm ok, when I skim through all the comments there is hardly anything optimal. Staircase not, toilet not, cloakroom not, utility room not. Unfortunately, we only have 70sqm per floor. From this, we have to try to get the best out of it. I would be happy to receive suggestions for an optimal floor plan, I would really like to see how this could be optimally solved. Currently, we live in a rented house (120sqm). Therefore, I can already quite well estimate what is needed. The extended garage is also used for tools, etc.

The classic suggestion for a starting floor plan is to orient oneself on proven standard types – at least as a two-child family with a slab-capable plot, otherwise the corresponding "special features" must be taken into account when searching.

I just researched some floor plans for a 140 sqm city villa and at least half have the staircase at the entrance :/ Here is a floor plan from a renowned prefab house manufacturer. In my eyes, the two do not differ significantly .....

Sorry, there is no ONE optimal floor plan. And if you have read your thread here carefully, then you have some tips on how to optimize something. Usually, not everything is possible anyway.
So read again slowly and take a look at your plan.
Was there already a site plan? Or how is it with the obligation to deliver? :cool:
