I'm quoting myself. WHERE is the slope?

Good morning,

I will take pictures of the slope in the next few days. I only have the site plan without the neighboring house; I will draw it myself and also submit it later.

In summary, we would now proceed as follows:

- I understand the ground floor as okay so far since there was basically nothing to criticize here :)
- We will reconsider the room layout on the upper floor with regard to the cardinal directions. One idea might be to swap the bedroom and the children's room. Then the bedroom would be on the northeast side.
- We will rethink the entrance view with the windows. However, the large panoramic window above the entrance does not look harmonious. We will see how to solve this more elegantly. One idea is to make it smaller so that it fits the overall picture.

Thank you for the feedback; as mentioned, this is the first house build, and one is glad to be made aware of everything :)

The cardinal direction on the ground floor should also be urgently reconsidered! Is the kitchen facing NNE? Except for midsummer, it is always dark there. We cook in the evening and then no strip of light comes into the house, especially because the west facade is completely closed off by missing windows and the parking space including the shed.

Your neighbor has already shown where the garage has to go.

Mirror the entire floor plan on the ground floor as well and build the garage to the NE side. Evening light is by far more valuable to us than the sunrise. You really don’t get any of that. The last light goes to the guest WC and the utility room.

You want light through a large number of corner windows but in the wrong cardinal directions.

But it doesn’t have to be seen as that dramatic. Large windows also bring a lot of light into the house on the northeast side, just not glaring brightness. The advantage is that you don’t have to lower shading in the sun, you have an unobstructed view, and the house still doesn’t heat up. Nevertheless, I would try to include the west side in the lighting concept.

Makes sense to me. I just played around a bit with the sun's path, different seasons, etc. As you already mentioned, the office and kitchen in the corners hardly get any sunlight. Almost none in winter. In the office, it doesn’t really bother me as long as some daylight comes in, that’s enough for me. The sun usually only blinds on the screen. But we will reconsider it. Moving the garage is not possible due to the minimum distance of 6 m and the total width of the property. There isn’t enough space left on the left side of the house for that. Either on the right side of the house or not at all. As Myrna said, we will look to include the west side a bit more. We don’t have a development plan, which is why we cannot change the orientation or position of the house because it has to fit with the other houses. Thanks for the information!

Unfortunately, it's similar for us. Kitchen area in the east, but completely open towards the south (dining) and west (living room): from noon I have to turn on the light in the kitchen. That annoys me because I definitely don't stay in the kitchen in the morning, but at work. But you have more window area in the kitchen. Here is an impression from the east kitchen to the west living room, taken in January
