Floor plan discussion and improvement suggestions

That is too many rooms/requirements per square meter, especially when you have about 40 sqm of hallway/foyer/stairs/air space. 5x sleeping + 2x office! The staircase in the middle "ruins" everything. Only access through the kitchen to dining/living.... The place feels like it bursts at the seams after a short time...

Your floor plan proposal isn’t oriented north, right? For you, the entrance would then be in the south. Is that supposed to be like that? I found a floor plan with 5 bedrooms on the upper floor at Kalobau that works well for me. Unfortunately, it’s too big, but maybe as inspiration. The sleeping area on the ground floor could then be made into two offices. And of course, it would also need to be rotated, with the entrance in the north, with the downside that you have to walk around the house.

Can you please explain the point about the facade symmetry? At which point do you see advantages if we break the symmetry?

For the floor plan. Not the symmetry itself, but the symmetry dogma is a pulled handbrake for the floor plan.

No, thanks for the hint, that information was indeed missing. I created a Google Maps mockup. Target property is No. 43, house entrance from the direction of No. 42.
Thus, the living room / dining room (so "top" on the floor plan) is oriented towards the west/southwest.

I took the time to redraw the floor plan so that it is now also dimensioned. Additionally, I have integrated the furniture so that you can see where this is going.

Since I am neither an architect nor artistically gifted, it will not be 100% accurate, but for now, I am interested in further opinions / ideas / suggestions.
