Floor plan design for a semi-detached house 17x10m - Best space utilization?

Regarding laundry and the laundry cellar: there is a laundry chute for this purpose, also over 2 levels. It is not expensive at all and saves space for a laundry basket and carrying.

It doesn’t save you a single trip upstairs... it only has the advantage that the laundry doesn’t lie around in the rooms on the upper floor, so it’s no comparison to a room on the upper floor with a washing machine and dryer.

There are two options: Complete set: over 2 floors for €799 or you think about what it consists of and buy separately: A door/hatch: €20 3-4 KG duct pipe DN 300 each 1m total 4m €193 (€48 per meter) 4x pipe clamps €18 and have everything plastered and clad by the drywall builder then we're just under €300

I do find that desirable as well, but at some point with 10*9 you just have to start cutting costs. The washing machine upstairs always needs water supply and drainage, so it's hard to just plan it over the living room. So where should it go?

The laundry does wash itself indeed, I don't have to sit next to it, a bit of exercise without carrying a full laundry basket down to the basement won't hurt anyone. We relocated this laundry chute from the upper floor to the ground floor.
Besides, I don't dry my laundry upstairs but ideally on the terrace or in the winter directly in the utility room inside the house. So the trip up the stairs is indeed saved.
I would never come up with the idea to plan the washing machine upstairs.
