Beep again: yesterday was the first architect meeting for consultation, "Status 1" on the feasibility study, "DH Madame&MonsieurP".
Variant 1, which made me internally cheer, was 2 gable-fronted semi-detached houses, each with SD (differently inclined) and parallel ridges at a 90° angle to the street. Additionally, with a split-level idea to take advantage of the terrain topography: entrance/wardrobe/hallway + guest bathroom level with the street, then a few steps down to the open-plan living area opening to the garden. (I had seen this with the roofs once at Viebrockhaus and fell shockingly in love. The roof drainage is the challenge here with the roof valley in the middle; this must be planned and executed cleanly.) The sales half was planned with ground floor, upper floor, and attic, the own half was proposed with ground floor and upper floor with high room height through the split level below and an open roof truss upwards on the upper floor. We are still uncertain about this aspect. The facades should be deliberately designed differently to reinforce the two-house impression. I am attaching a mood image for clarification.
Variant 2 was a slanting of the facades: on the street side the facade of one semi-detached house slightly receding, and at the back the wall parallel to the property boundary, with the other semi-detached house the opposite way, all with one PD per semi-detached house, meeting on the party wall with the pitched roof. Difficult to explain. I don’t have the drawings here at the moment, will have to submit them later.
What is already becoming clear: the whole thing will no longer have much or anything to do with the original draft of this thread. If I hopefully get floor plan proposals in 2 weeks, should I then open a new thread?? Question to the professionals here. Otherwise, it will become totally confusing.
