I feel the same. If we were loaded, we wouldn’t have to build a semi-detached house either (this is due to the absurd land prices here in the region – either we sell one half after building or rent it out, then it will belong to us eventually... that’s the plan. Unfortunately, a single-family house on the plot is not an option for that reason). Therefore, I have to stay realistic and keep the red pen ready. It would only work if you stole the child’s sleeping niche that you drew, then you would have a laundry closet. But that would be a luxury for me, and if we’re sweating over a basement, then it had better save me decent space on the ground and upper floors as well. Better fewer, larger rooms than such fiddling around...I also find that desirable, but at some point you just have to start cutting at 10*9. The washing machine upstairs always needs water supply and drainage, so it’s hard to just plan it above the living room. So where to put it?
