True... I have to think about it again.- Staircase is fully in the dirt area, you always bring dirt upstairs
Hmm, okay. Would a 90-degree landing staircase achieve more?- a straight staircase with this positioning doesn’t allow for reasonable rooms, the house is simply too small for that
I agree with you on one hand, on the other hand, in my opinion, the east side is the only possible kitchen side, otherwise the living area would have to move to either the northeast or southeast (depending on the half of the house) toward the street side. Or am I making a mistake there?- longer way from kitchen to terrace is unfortunate and not modern; direct access from kitchen to terrace is especially great in summer
At the moment we carry the laundry from the 2nd upper floor down to the laundry basement and it doesn’t bother us particularly. Washing machine and dryer will go in the basement; this compromise doesn’t hurt me much. If we build with a basement, the utility room can be completely omitted or made smaller and become the pantry.- is the utility room for the washing machine? Even with a basement it’s very nice to have a room for laundry on the upper floor... you avoid that annoying stair run with the laundry then
Definitely, I think this is just a first suggestion and planning basis. I don’t like it this way either.- upper floor: rooms for guest and office of 6 sqm... better to combine, otherwise no one will ever feel comfortable in there because it’s tiny
I feared something like that. *crying* So should we completely redesign? Thanks already for the input.- in the upper floor this kind of staircase destroys reasonable rooms for the house size.. There is unfortunately a reason why most semi-detached houses of this size look very similar... I am not a fan of that either but the design makes it worse.
