Floor plan 165 m² with basement, your opinion?

I haven't written anything here for a long time, but when it comes to the pantry, I have to give my two cents again. Our pantry was also torn apart and considered dispensable in our floor plan because we are building with a basement. In hindsight, it turned out to be a blessing that we built with a pantry. At all times, there are 3-4 crates of drinks in the pantry, the deep freezer, the [Gelber Sack], 2 Ikea Sortera bins for glass and paper, the robot vacuum, all canned food, and rarely used kitchen appliances.
In retrospect, we would not build without a pantry and have grown to love it.
The advantage of the pantry is that the kitchen is tidier ([Gelber Sack] + bottles and paper waste in a large bin outside the kitchen) and you don’t have to go to the basement for every can or bottle.

We also discussed the pantry for a long time during the planning. Since we are also building with a basement, I considered the pantry unnecessary to superfluous. For the reasons you mentioned, we kept it. The missus prevailed.

If there is enough space, a pantry is great. But if the usable space in the kitchen ends up like in a single apartment, then one can question the purpose. It really depends on one's own cooking habits. Some need workspace, others want a kitchen that always looks as clean as in the kitchen studio.

How would you orient the interior of the house, as we are considering mirroring the entire house. (West-East)

We are wondering which is better, the living room in the east or in the west. The same obviously applies to the kitchen and dining room.

Attached are both orientations plus the site plan of the house.

The house is still positioned too far east by 3 meters on the site plan, we have already changed that to 5 meters. This leaves about 8 meters in the west.

Breakfast time is sunrise time for day shift workers, and for the living room, the evening sun is usually more relevant. I am amazed that the kitchen is still not further planned - or does that only happen in a special forum where I don't hang out often enough?
