We have large areas here with Meister PD200 Oak lively, brushed and UV-oiled, no. 8163 and 8166. It is installed floating but is absolutely great. There are one or more dealers who sell second choice of this, we took that for €25 gross including transport. In my view it is first choice, technically anyway, there are no problems at all. Waste was almost zero, although in our own house I would have laid some boards rather under the kitchen or furniture because they were a bit more reddish than the others. Overall, the floor is first class and at an incredible price. I would do it again that way any time when I look for engineered parquet and also need larger areas. Our one here basically looks like the one from , also oak. However, this one was ready for installation, I once called the factory, it is factory UV-oiled, which is technically somewhat similar to lacquering, but you can re-oil parts if needed. The floor does not look glossy but like oiled and is therefore easy to care for, as it does not need to be re-oiled. I did not want lacquering anyway, but I liked this version from Meister both visually and in terms of maintenance effort. Installation was completely trouble-free.

I am always amazed at how much our ideas and tastes match ... ;)

Although 8163/8166 are a bit too dark and lively for us (more precisely for my wife), I have exactly the same "source of procurement" in mind. So I will also get 2nd choice and am sure that no one will notice any difference to 1st choice. In the past, I have had very good experiences several times with 2nd choice purchases (Meister) and never regretted it. Although these were mostly high-quality laminate floors, every time the condition was top while saving a lot on the purchase price :)

Thanks also for your confirmation!

By the way, how is your experience with parquet in the kitchen? Possibly also in the hallway/entrance area?

Would you like to name the seller from whom you bought it?

laid floating. For the sake of completeness: It is possible - board to board - stapled, or from the outside, pressed together with tongues from the walls (I don't know if this has already been mentioned here). The latter seems "smarter" to me. But that is my layman's assessment.
