It’s fun to think about things like this. You don’t really want to know what we endlessly and repeatedly think about. We are practically professionals in the search for the egg-laying wool-milk-sow! You lucky person have at least already decided on the manufacturer.... At first, we were also worried it might look too wild because of the knots or the second-choice knots, etc. Meanwhile, the best of all wives often says the floor could be a bit more lively......Aha.... The neighbor’s garden is probably always a bit greener, I think, we all probably feel that way. In the new build, I want to be a bit bolder with colors, etc., currently everything is rather white with the well-behaved oak wood; in the new build, it might be a bit more green, blue, or something else, the first visualizations are already underway, the wool-milk-sow is already in sight.... When I read yours, I have the path to the goal in front of me: The wife doesn’t like to glue, so it will be laid floating. Good, decided. That has the advantage that in case of feared damage, replacement is relatively easy; that was also a reason for me to choose a floating floor, so the worry of having made a "life decision" diminishes; if necessary, it comes out (which probably won’t really happen, but would reassure me). On the other hand, there are certainly just as many critics as supporters, but for me it would be fitting for these reasons. Man, it’s just easy..... with other people. I just looked at it again. Of your mentioned options, I would take the PD450 because of the nice width and definitely the "lively" variant, which in my opinion will not really look lively or even wild on the surface. We have significantly more life in our floor here and I find it quite well-behaved. Congratulations on your decision :D :D :D

Well, the fun is somewhat limited by the sleepless nights. But I know what you mean! :)

I do have some fun with the respective processes, but I keep thinking that one should rather lean back and not rack one’s brain with details. Basically aligned with the statement of that in the end everything is the same .... "Wood is wood" and that's that. Whether from this or that source, somewhat lighter or darker, more lively or more harmonious ... The more relaxed you approach the matter in advance, the more satisfied you will probably be later.

In the end, of course, we are all here to exchange thoughts and each to achieve the optimum as much as possible. Accordingly, thanks again for the support!
