The "classic" design floors are all installed as floating floors. When we looked two years ago, the first products came out from two manufacturers without a carrier layer and for gluing, which I would prefer. We have both, floating design flooring and glued vinyl.

I have to do some advertising for my favorite flooring again: Rubber in roll or tile form is very durable and hard-wearing, suitable for underfloor heating, and available in countless designs. Synthetic or made from natural latex. In any case, it is completely free of chlorine chemistry and plasticizers, so in the event of a fire no dioxin or other toxic fumes are produced. You just have to be careful with the adhesive, similar to glued parquet.

I have click vinyl in the hallway and kitchen. I also didn’t want tiles because it feels too cold on the feet outside of the heating period. I am satisfied, it is installed as a floating floor, it doesn’t smell at all. And it was very easy to install. However, one must honestly say that it is, of course, not that durable. You do bring in small stones from outside, so I sweep very often right at the entrance because the stones could potentially scratch the vinyl. So far, everything has gone well.

We have vinyl almost everywhere. Also in the bathroom, in the kitchen, in the hallways. You just have to glue it down, but anyone who has done or seen that before won’t do anything else. Tiles in the kitchen and bathroom would be way too uncomfortable for me.

I don't understand what is meant by this. Proper vinyl costs about €75/m² plus leveling plus adhesive, you're at about €100/m². Tiles are often the cheaper option.

It was meant exactly as written. Material price is similar: high-quality vinyl compared to inexpensive tiles. €20-35/m². You get vinyl online from all dealers with significant discounts, production cannot be expensive. Installation is faster than tiles and therefore cost us significantly less (about €10-15), both glued and floating.
