We currently have a storage room (4.54 sqm) on the upper floor. Below it is a bathroom (11.74 sqm). We definitely want to make the bathroom somewhat smaller, about 10 sqm. Then the storage room would be about 6.3 sqm.

No. those are all things that we need to store somewhere in the house. On the upper floor we have a utility room + storage combined, plus the guest/office room, and on the ground floor the utility connection room, plus a large garage and the attic. That should only be understood as a suggestion of what you might have forgotten.
