Now, what’s gotten under your skin? There is a big difference between "just turning it off" and an air exchange rate of 0.3/h. But if you think you absolutely need 0.5/h, then you’re welcome to set it that way. Under normal use, 0.3/h is more than enough to always have fresh air. If needed, you just use the "power boost button" to ventilate for 45 minutes. Then you don’t even have to throw open the windows—if you don’t want to.

To put it in your words: But hey, another tip, just always run the controlled residential ventilation at 100% capacity, then you’ll have even fresher air.

No mouse has run over my liver! But without measuring the CO2 content, writing here that people don't know what they're doing and that the air exchange rate is reduced is generally wrong. Every fifth person then goes and reduces it and wonders why it doesn't work.

In the pink forum, there are quite interesting experiences from the user Leitwolf regarding a CO2 sensor in the central exhaust. During the day, the air volume is reduced if no high CO2 is measured (i.e., no one is at home). At night, ventilation is constant so that the bedroom does not become stuffy. I am considering this as a supplement or alternative to the enthalpy exchanger.

Therefore nonsensical, because a enthalpy exchanger indisputably has advantages. The extent could be discussed. But since this is about savings of 300-500€ with an investment of +500-700k€, in my opinion nonsensical. One could also discuss whether windows are really necessary or maybe paint on the walls, where you can save significantly more.

Who says that I haven’t measured it. You’re just assuming things here. I just took a measuring device from work with me for a few days. Have you ever measured it at your place? Does Pettenkofer mean anything to you? What do you do for a living? That’s exactly what I already wrote before with the time program. Sure, it also works with a fixed sensor built in. But with a simple timer program and the knowledge of when more air exchange is needed (at night, cooking times, and times when all residents are home at the same time), everything works fine. By the way: If someone measured the CO2 content at some workplaces, many would be shocked... what is being discussed here is simply ridiculous. (Single-family house with 4 people and an air exchange rate of 0.5/h supposedly mandatory) Especially in meeting rooms or schools (really bad), there is a CO2 content of a completely different dimension. One should think about such places.

If you did something, write it down; I cannot read minds. The problem is that people can misunderstand it, I didn't want to say more. No, I didn't measure anything, the air was stuffy, you could tell, and our ventilation only allows 3 levels, I removed the night setback. And the ventilation runs permanently on level 2; to know the air exchange rate, I would have to check the calculation. If I were to build again, then with supply and exhaust air in the room without a transfer opening. With the condition of being able to regulate individual rooms.
