these are only the values from the bedroom (this is how I understood it) The values referring to the entire house surely look quite different, but a simple [Controlled Residential Ventilation] cannot differentiate that.

Nonsense! We have Q450 with enthalpy exchanger and 2x large Venta humidifiers (Lw45) currently in use because I want a humidity of >45%. We achieve that this way as well (at -10 degrees outside and daily fireplace use). Usually, we have between 45 and 50%. So optimal. I have never seen wet windows in our place. Not even in the bathroom after showering with humidity of 90%.

The screenshot was indeed only from the bedroom. Nevertheless, in my view, the values in the living area do not look so good either.

We have about 50m2 (kitchen, dining room, living room) including 2x supply air and 1x exhaust air. Our floor is completely open - i.e. the stairwell and the entrance area also have no door and count as overflow.

From about 4:30 pm, three people were in this open area. At about 9:00 pm, I then opened the window to ventilate.

I can only agree with that. The air gets too dry for us in winter as well, but thanks to Venta, it’s bearable. Still, no windows fog up.

So presumably the culprit is indeed the ventilation system. I found out that the system apparently stops supplying fresh air around 4:00 pm. On the Zehnder display it then shows "Frost Disbalance" – in the status I saw that the "Frostschutz" was at "100%" and the fresh air supply at "0%". In the evening, I left the door open in our bedroom, resulting in the windows being dry.

From various research, I have now found out that I apparently need a preheater so that the system runs even at below freezing temperatures. Can this be confirmed?

But then your measured humidity cannot be correct... Better is an enthalpy exchanger, which also works down to about -12°C, if there is something like that for your ventilation system.
