Hello everyone,

a lot has happened in the meantime and we have completed the first planning meeting with the architect.
I have attached the result.

The window in the living area will still be painted. Otherwise, we have not yet discussed all the details.
The rooms have been adjusted. Leo now has enough privacy. The entrance to the bathroom is now also concealed.
The wardrobe is somewhat hidden on request and has access to the utility room for the rubber boots.

Regards

The bedroom with a 3 m raw dimension is extremely tight. There are roughly 50 cm left between the bed frame and the wall.

In the sleep-dressing room, spatially as well as in feeling, there is only tightness anyway: a tiny bedroom and a partitioned wardrobe area generally do not fit together; in addition, the passage without distance to the side wall. Let me put it this way: I see this more as another option for discussion rather than an approach to the finish line.

Well, it wouldn't be mine. Lots of narrow spaces - as soon as you come in, there’s a tunnel right away. The utility room is also so narrow - brr. In the kitchen/dining area you feel like you’re just passing through - nowhere to close doors so Leo can sleep when you’re still stacking pots in the kitchen yourself. You can hardly stand next to the bed. Ok, that can be changed - then it should work. The window would have to move accordingly to the top of the plan. I don't understand why the dressing room has no window. And especially why they want to paint another one in the living room, even less so. The window on the left side of the bathroom, in my opinion, should be further up on the plan so that light falls on the sinks. The small 60 cm shutters in the living room are also born out of despair - but oh well.

Good morning,

yes, the sleeping area is quite narrow. Here, the bed would be placed against the left wall and the window moved upward (as suggested by kaho674). Additionally, maybe the partition wall could be left out, but the area would still remain narrow. A window in the dressing area is definitely a good idea. Otherwise, it doesn’t bother us that the sleeping area is small. It’s (almost) only used for sleeping. When the bed is rotated, I see few problems here. The dressing area is already more important.

The narrow utility room doesn’t bother me for now. Of course, all the technology must fit and there should be a shelf behind the doors for all sorts of things.

I also don’t find the tunnel at the entrance ideal, but I think it will be difficult to make it wider.

The very open kitchen/dining area is purposely designed that way and is probably a matter of taste.

The left window in the bathroom is actually supposed to be moved to the center, but it clashes somewhat with the bathtub. The window would then obviously be harder to reach (for cleaning, etc.). A tall, wide strip of light (window) might be another idea. The window below actually doesn’t bring much. We are considering painting it over. The shower and toilet are still to be swapped.

We found the window in the living area disturbing because it apparently causes glare when watching TV and there should actually be enough light anyway. Being told that my two narrow floor-to-ceiling windows beside the TV were "born out of desperation" makes me sad—I thought the idea was great and it should look "stylish" both inside and outside.

Let’s see what comes of it.

Regards

Do you already have exterior views of it? Then one could take a look at how it comes across. In any case, you always look into the light when watching TV like that. South side, of all places. Your eyes will soon start to water. I find the side window less disturbing.
