Hello everyone,

Yesterday there was a spontaneous day off and Ikea etc. was thoroughly explored

We are happy that there is still such lively participation here, especially regarding the floor plan suggestions. I will read through all the posts carefully shortly.

Here is my first thought that I had on my phone about the last floor plans: "well thought out but somehow convoluted and many corners"
However, we will look at all ideas carefully today. I don't think the entrance area with the guest/Leo bathroom is bad at all.
The exterior dimensions of my design are approximately 14 x 9 m.

Regards

What immediately strikes me without looking at the room layout is that with our original orientation we have a nice south-facing terrace and also from the living area a view over the entire garden. However, there is no space for the carport in front of the house and I ruin the beautiful garden again.

If I now rotate the house, for example as in the proposal from ypg, I do have space next to the house for a carport but the terrace also shifts to the side and I block my view of most of the garden. In addition, SW would be unfavorable as the only neighboring house is located there on the opposite side of the street, which means potentially less light. Well, you could mirror it then the terrace would be SE.
All not so easy

I would make the wall from Leo to the living room quite thick, otherwise he would hear everything that is still being gossiped about between the parents in the evening :P but otherwise a very successful design
I see the same regarding the dining table, it needs natural light but it also works in Katja's design in #66

The plot is 22m wide? Then only 1m is missing to plant the garage in the northeast? That's annoying. Is there any way to fight for that meter - meaning the house a few centimeters shorter, maybe the plot still has a few centimeters to offer?

Where did the planner of your general contractor place the garage? Also in the west? I wouldn’t find that very appealing either - taking away the evening sun from the terrace.
On the other hand, I consider the fear of the shadow from the neighboring house, which is located opposite the street and at least 3m away from the boundary, nonsense. Or is that a high-rise?

Yes, that would be unproblematic. In a bungalow, you are just closer together. I really wanted to bring the west sun into Leo's room and still leave it at the entrance so that his girlfriend can later sneak in secretly when the parents are already asleep.

Yes, 22 meters and a few squeezed. If it ultimately only comes down to centimeters, you can certainly squeeze something on the house.

We haven’t really considered the carport with the planner yet since we haven’t decided on a builder and therefore haven’t gone into details.
Honestly, we also didn’t realize how closely everything is related.
We only have street/path on the north and west, so the access was planned from there. Unfortunately, that now conflicts with the preferred orientation of the house.
At the moment, if the orientation remains, the west access would be preferred.
A carport isn’t very tall, just like the bungalow next door. Would it really take that much light?
What really bothers is that the carport is about 6m deep and thus extends nearly 3m over the house boundary.

Regards
