Do tall doors fit a "normal" room height?

2.11m is actually already the standard.

not with us. From finished floor level: 2.00 or 2.01 depending on reference

Currently without finished floor structure (approx. 16cm) it still looks very airy... But I have already wondered whether we should have taken the increase to 2.11. There is still a lot of wall above the door up to the ceiling (room height ground floor 2.60 from finished floor level).

So feel free to take the large doors, you are unlikely to go wrong with them.

With two tall parents, tall children are usually the norm, but the shell construction dimension 211 (from the top edge of the screed) is, in my opinion, sufficient – however, I would currently consider it a standard. Referring to the same reference height, I would choose the opening height 226 for the windows; plus 30 cm for the roller shutter box, we then have a room height of about 260 cm. This too has become a usual size, and half a handbreadth less room height hardly leads to any significant price reductions.

I also have door leaves that are 2.11m high. In the attic, it is 2.5m to the ceiling - fits.
In the ground floor, the kitchen was the decisive point to have one more row of bricks added because we have wall cabinets with a height of 90cm and the resulting room height of 2.75m makes it feel more spacious.

Thank you for the hint! I actually hadn’t thought about including the windows in the consideration. It probably does look more harmonious if the height is matched here.

I’ll inquire with our likely general contractor about the additional costs that will arise if we adjust the room height.

Thanks again to everyone! To summarize: doors at only 2 meters are no longer very common, and the small increase we have planned would not feel cramped even with a room height of 2.50 m (although 2.60 m is now the standard height).
I will take the window aspect into consideration and decide based on the additional costs.

When adjusting the room height, don't forget the stairs, which often require one more step and therefore more space.
