I hope it is okay if I hijack the thread for another question.

A developer offered us the masonry made of EPS formwork stones. I can't really find anything meaningful about that on Google except that longer dowels are needed. Can anyone tell me more about this construction method? Disadvantages/advantages?
Thanks

Hmm, it's not just about the sun. It's also about the [Aisthesis] on the terrace. Otherwise, you just put the carport completely [SW] at the bottom, and then the evening sun is free. K.

Regarding the stone. Is that something like Liapor? Thermal insulation is certainly good, but try attaching an awning to it... I would prefer thick Ytong or something similar. Karsten

Take a look at "11ant shuttering block" here in the forum search

No, that is, to put it bluntly, "concrete-filled ETICS"

You basically get a solid concrete wall (except for the intermediate webs) that is poured between insulation layers; this is also called "lost formwork." It’s basically like a concrete wall with an outer layer about the usual thickness of ETICS and practically a thin "Styrofoam" paneling on the inside. Pipes / cables would either have to be cast in or placed in front of the wall.

I see only a labor time advantage for the contractor – for the client who does not build themselves, none; and the client who builds (partly) themselves must first familiarize themselves with the respective system.

Regarding house providers – the manufacturers mostly only offer kits – the only one that comes to mind is Kern-Haus (you can enter them in the search here as well).

My attitude towards shuttering blocks, put simply: either you really want to be a fan of them, or you leave it.

Is there anything new here? What is the planning doing?

Hi,
so the planning has not progressed much yet because we first decided on a bank and a property developer. There were many appointments around that initially.
Unfortunately, we are still waiting for the [Flurstücksbildung]. That is currently the bottleneck.
At least I now have the exact plot dimensions: 25 x 37 m. So a bit wider than expected.
As soon as things move forward with the planner from the property developer, I would also get back in touch here in parallel.

Regards
