... especially because they have been showing a trend again not just since today: playful ornaments and elements were once very frowned upon, precisely because it kept getting bigger :)
A) Because the topic is ... vs zeitgeist and these small tiles do reflect a zeitgeist, but one from the distant past. That is not a zeitgeist from this millennium. No accusation, no resentment. Just a fact. B) I could also say old-fashioned or unfashionable. Synonyms for outdated. And that is also not an accusation, but a fact. And in the end, as I also wrote, it is a matter of taste.
I want to bump my thread again. Today we informally visited "our" tile studio to get a first impression without any obligation to decide. Meanwhile, thanks especially to this thread, we are once again looking at the measurements and sizes of the rooms and then deciding which size makes sense. Here a question comes up for me. Our entrance area is measured as 2.51m x 7.30m in the construction service description. I am now wondering whether 2.51m for 2x 120cm or 4x 60cm is still just small enough or already too large. Can anyone help me?
Hi, Our entrance area is 2.05 x 6 m. We have 1x1.5 m tiles. This is what it looks like then...
We were on Kos in September. The airport toilet there was new, modernly tiled with very large dark gray tiles. I had to smile and thought to myself… aha.. many new single-family houses are tiled like an airport toilet. :p
