Your entire, beautiful house project, both inside and just as much from the outside, is a good example that you can build a really stylish house even without or especially without the latest, expensive gimmicks. I always like to see pictures of it!

Even though I already left you a "love," I would also like to mention that it is so beautiful at your place. And your tiles are wonderful. Thanks for the purchasing source, I will have a look right away.

I actually prefer rectangular shapes over square ones. We have 90x45 in a random pattern. But we only have tiles in rooms that need tiles ([Diele, Küche, Bad]). And there's always something on them or around them anyway, so you don't really notice the surfaces. 60x30 would probably work too. On the other hand, the rooms aren't big enough for the extra cost to really make a difference. In short, just do whatever you want ;)

But on a different note: why are we already talking about tiles? What's the latest on the house design - have I missed something?

I posted an update in the thread last Wednesday. We want to make a decision by the end of April.

Every "offset" compared to the "grid pattern" is of course also an argument against square formats.

Seen that way, a 1:2 tile in a half-bond pattern is indeed a square format where every second joint is missing :) I will therefore specify my opinion: elongated - and then please with a random bond ;)
