I agree with the opinion: too many buildings and especially terrain modeling for the planned budget.

Do you think the workshop separate from the garage is too much? It would be "only" the three buildings: house, workshop, garage The terrain modeling would not be a problem, excavator driving and excavators are available within the circle of friends.

Assume that a garage costs between 30 and 40 TEUR – the workshop as well. Then perhaps 80 TEUR of the budget is already gone, and there isn’t a single stone of the actual house yet.

Regardless of costs, I am also in favor of B.

I also view the budget critically. If there isn’t much EL, especially for outdoor facilities, I hardly believe that 450k will be enough.
I don’t know the regional prices. But you can do the math...

- House with 11x9 gives something around 150 sqm * 2000 (this can be debated, often that’s not enough) 300k
- Basement with a granny flat is difficult... easily 100k, partially a residential basement gladly then 150k. (PS such a basement exit with stairs, reinforcement, railing, door, sealing will also cost quite a bit.)
- Garage + workshop depending on design 50k +
- Outdoor facilities if done as it looks there probably another 50 - 100k but that is a black box. I see fillings, large paved areas/driveway/parking space, huge terrace

Calculated with the lower values that’s already 500k. No luxury and plenty of headroom upwards. No incidental construction costs.

I would seriously reconsider the budget before going into planning 2.0 here.

Okay now I understand how icandoit might possibly arrive at 600k. Since we are drifting a bit, a quick note on the budget. I have set 450k only for the house and garage, excluding garden, workshop, driveway, wood storage... etc.

I will build the workshop myself later with a few friends, possibly even the garage after the house is built... Garden, yard, etc. should not be a significant cost beyond material expenses since I can do a lot myself. I have calculated 50k for materials here.
A lot can be done by myself since almost everything is available within my circle of friends. Even building the house would be possible, but I don’t want to put myself through that stress. My buddy did it last year and was mentally exhausted afterward...

My primary concern right now is just the orientation of the house, the location on the plot, and which problems you see with that. The construction execution, exact building costs (if I’m not completely off) I would plan later with the help of an architect and then hire the companies.

...as mentioned, construction prices vary regionally and depend on the equipment. My listing lacks any frills and includes all incidental building costs from disposal (cellar excavation) to architect, structural engineering, etc...
