Yes, we like it that way very much, the peace :) but still within 5 minutes by car range everything you need to live.

The canal should not be the problem, but I can measure how deep it is later. I wanted to measure the property exactly anyway, since I only have the height information from the Bayernatlas, which should roughly fit as an estimate.

I will also record your thoughts again as a variant this evening. You would push the garage as a double garage or garage/carport combo directly with the workshop into the corner (if allowed by building regulations) and connect the house to it, did I understand that correctly?

That's why the house is also located where it connects at least to the carport :) By the way, I have included the slope in the consideration. According to the information, I drew the diagonal, and since the budget does not allow for a full basement, I adjusted accordingly. The key is to consider everything. In the end, the surveyor probably has the final say here ;)

For this, the boundary development behind the garage could be extended to the allowed 9 m.

I'll summarize: Field forest meadows within walking distance are nice, but they do not replace a contiguous recreational area on one's own property. A motor vehicle parking space does not need to be perched at the end of a long corridor, and I would not want to bury a fortune in connecting lines either. A car does not have to trundle across the whole courtyard like a tractor and then snuggle into the farthest corner. For boundary buildings, length budgets apply, not just voluntary consideration for the uncle. The desired workshop dimensions already border on an "investment" relative to the circumstances. It seems to me that there is still a lot of potential for cutting costs that has not been explored.

That’s exactly how I would do it if it were my property, if it were legally allowed, and if my uncle wouldn’t break off our friendship because of it.

We were at the property today and roughly measured it once with the hose level, the information from Bayernatlas mostly matches what I measured. The sewer is -2.5m deep and the pipe from the property opens into the sewer at -1.0m.

I also showed my uncle the drafts right away, he also thinks D is quite good, but would shift the house 1-2 meters further to the left according to the plan and slightly reduce the size of the workshop.
