Pffff... Well, better to plan the bathroom in advance than not at all and then complain.

But this question does confuse me when the house is already more or less fixed. The orientation question comes a bit late then.

/ ypg: Thank you very much for your comments - I can certainly understand your irritation. The orientation on the property and the example floor plan is the suggestion of a possible construction company. We are also still in talks with other companies, who will certainly have different ideas and concepts. The ideas and opinions here from the forum are also important input. However, I am now trying to imagine and develop this one existing proposal as concretely as possible. Surely this may lead to duplicate work if there ends up being a different orientation or floor plan—but in case the orientation does fit, I have gained time because I have already dealt with the rest of the planning early on. It is a balancing act between avoiding duplicate work through parallel planning and losing time through sequential planning. I am trying to find a reasonable middle ground somehow... And as an optimist, I would not even consider the possible duplicate work on the bathroom planning as negative, but rather positive—I have already dealt with various variants and (im)possibilities and perhaps gotten a feel for what works and what doesn’t or what I like or don’t like.

Have a good start to the day and best regards
Jens

Hello,

I would place the garage behind the house and move the house as far south as possible. If you want to slightly rotate the house, a southwest terrace would give you the most advantage. No neighbors to disturb you and evening sun.

Hello, The topic is a bit older, but maybe you still read it  We are currently also planning our property, which is very similar to yours. How did you solve the arrangement of the house and garage? We are not quite sure... Best regards, Sandra

But please with a clear explanation of what makes the property "very similar."
