Oh dear, 100m² without a basement for four people. That will be a very small nest
How about a new thread:
Construction method: one should always justify preferences so that other discussants can understand the motives and, if necessary, point out which other ways to the goal would be more suitable or which motives are understandable but based on erroneous assumptions.
House shape: my clear recommendation is not to restrict oneself, especially with a modest budget.
I wouldn’t go below 140 sqm for 4 people.
And for ecological and economic reasons, I wouldn’t build a bungalow anymore. Bungalows are great, but I am now very skeptical about them: sealing, living space for animals, etc. Building a house with responsibility towards the environment is okay and should become important for oneself. Our selfishness is destroying the world.
Already happened. ops:
Yep. But we are still in the process, and that should be stopped!
Many thanks for all the feedback.
We had a conversation today with Bien-Zenker where it could be that something fits into our budget. The budget is calculated very strictly without KFW, etc. We are currently calculating the "worst case" with the bank, not the case where everything runs smoothly. Once all costs are on the table, KFW will be included.
The reasons for the bungalow are simple. Due to illness, one family member can hardly / with difficulty climb stairs.
With a child or children going up and down stairs is hard to imagine, especially since children can sometimes be mean and could exploit a handicap in a quarrel or use it against someone.
We both think ecologically and would like to build as sustainably as possible.
