Our street has existed for 13 years and Google and many GPS devices still don’t know it. At least the city has now put up street name signs. You wouldn’t believe how slow offices can be in Germany...

It took exactly 1-2 months for all maps to be updated here. Insurance and contracts could only be applied for in a complicated way using the plot number, so I myself drew the streets including houses on Google Mapmaker or whatever it was called, and after review I had to submit a photo, and a few days later it was activated. The funny thing is that everyone even copies OpenStreetMap on Google.

Thanks first of all to everyone who has given suggestions so far. Tomorrow I will call the building authority and ask how things stand. Furthermore, I will call the utility providers and inquire here whether everything is connected - electricity - water & sewage. According to neighbors and the owner, gas is not connected.

Maybe I'll be lucky and they will send me documents in advance via [E-Mail]. Otherwise, I will probably have to go there.

Here is a brief update - the checklist was processed as follows - the municipality was called about the property. At first, it was said to be farmland... Then I was told there is a supplementary statute. It is now being investigated and the mayor is being consulted whether it exists and how. The problem here is that the caseworker is at training, so patience until about Thursday.

Today there was an appointment regarding the financial budget with Sicherheitsabschlag, broker, notary, and real estate transfer tax, resulting in a maximum purchase price of €296,140.09

As a budget for the house and land.

We are calculating €50,000 for the land.

We are considering a bungalow. Does anyone have recommendations for bungalows that are turnkey within the range of €250,000? Preferably timber construction, not solid.
