Video doorbell on which wall?

if the doorbell is at the green point, then if someone is standing directly in front of the door, they should still be able to see it, right? Most doorbells have an extremely wide field of view.

Doorbird, Ring, and eufy definitely have a corner angle that can be mounted if necessary.

I think we are currently leaning towards placing the doorbell at the green point and the mailbox as well.

Can the mailbox be set at about 1.20-1.25m top edge or is that too low?

Our electrician does not want to install empty conduits to the outside; his argument is: How am I supposed to seal them properly?

Maybe you just put the camera above the door?

Unfortunately, I can't grasp the depth of the problem. This high-security system – do people actually use it? I would have to live in Mexico before I install that. Instead, I can see directly at the door who is standing there, if it has a window anyway. But okay – to each their own toy. ;)

The point is that when you are on the go or in the [OG DG] or basement, you can see who is standing at the door. So you don’t have to sprint to the door to prevent the delivery person from running away again.

To add a bit of excitement to the thread. What fingerprint do you get?

vertical (e.g. integra) or diagonal (e.g. FS UP E or ekey home).

For vertical, 1.20m would be too low for me. I can't bend my finger that far.

May I ask at what height you mounted the Eufy?

The doorbell starts at 110cm from the floor in our case, as mentioned battery-powered. We simply screwed it over the (useless) power connection of the old doorbell.

I can only recommend again to test the final position with a video doorbell – there are delivery services that might "accidentally" accept ordered doorbells as returns – after all, it is also important to test the distances for the camera image.
