I would install it at the red dot, as otherwise I see the "risk" that the visitor rings the bell and then immediately goes in front of the door to wait, and then you are looking into empty space.

I don't find the green dot so good because of the door hinge. For right-handed people, right is more comfortable.

Battery is a no-go for us, we don't want to have to replace the battery, so only the wired version is an option for us and the doorbell should continue to use the existing acoustic gong, so that we still have an acoustic gong in case of internet failure.
