A battery is a no-go for us; we don't want to bother with changing the battery, so only the wired version comes into question for us, and the doorbell should continue to use the existing acoustic chime so that we also have an acoustic chime in case of internet failure.

Sorry, I can hardly explain that, since the wall is only 30 cm deep and the electrician will certainly want to place the doorbell centered on the wall, if you want to stand directly in front of the doorbell (which many probably do automatically because they don’t know it has a 180-degree lens), you would be standing about 15 cm in front of the door by the time I open it.

Or am I seeing it wrong?

Another question, on which wall would you hang the outdoor light and at what height?

On the left or right side? Height 1.80 m or 2.00 m?

I think netuser wanted the front facing on the projection and not sideways. PS: Just read again: apparently not or it should say:

Yes, now I finally understood that we are talking past each other.

According to the title, I assumed a "video DoorBELL," that is, a combination unit installed at the front of the protrusion in one piece.
You probably mean a camera separate from the doorbell, or am I completely missing the point?

By the way, I would personally also install the light on the front of the protrusion :)

wants to place the video intercom at a 90-degree angle to the door on the protrusion. That way, you rest your left arm against the door when you stand in front of the camera.

In the meantime, thanks to your previous hint, I have understood it too :)
In my opinion, however, that makes no sense :(

Then rather install it to the left of the door.

I once marked color dots on the drawing so that we can no longer talk past each other.

Netuser, your suggestion was the blue dot, did I understand that correctly?
