In my experience, you can easily use one with a battery, then it does not require power supply from the house.
A battery is a no-go for us; we don't want to bother with changing the battery, so only the wired version comes into question for us, and the doorbell should continue to use the existing acoustic chime so that we also have an acoustic chime in case of internet failure.

Sorry, I can hardly explain that, since the wall is only 30 cm deep and the electrician will certainly want to place the doorbell centered on the wall, if you want to stand directly in front of the doorbell (which many probably do automatically because they don’t know it has a 180-degree lens), you would be standing about 15 cm in front of the door by the time I open it.
Or am I seeing it wrong?
