So the problem is that the drives are just dumb motors. That means the motor gets power and runs as long as the control switches off the power. Now, there are systems like mine that have 1 phase for opening and 1 phase for closing. Furthermore, the neutral is also needed so that electricity can flow at all. In my case, only one phase is activated for the respective movement. With this variant, you can at most control one wing and one consumer.

Now there are also systems that only have 1 phase and one neutral. As far as I know, the phase and neutral are swapped inside the control, otherwise the motor would not know in which direction it has to run. With this variant, you can operate a single-wing system plus a consumer or only a two-wing system...

I hope that was expressed understandably now.

um..not really...

What exactly do I need to pay attention to in order to be able to move the two gate leaves, supply a doorbell with power, and possibly an electric door opener for the gatehouse.

Here is immediately the question if anyone knows a product where the opener can be operated by radio....

Is the gate even there yet? - otherwise, instead of two wings, one foldable one could possibly be used ...

Let's ask differently...

Where should the control go? In the garage, house? If you of course nail it to the gatepost, then the cables should be long enough.

So the gate does not exist yet. Next week, a fence builder from the neighboring country will come by to take a look at everything on site. Therefore, currently my orientation is about what I should pay attention to.

The control unit (so the "small" box?) somehow on the post or next to it on the fence panel depending on the implementation possibility. So that the cable outside (currently in front of the house) lying under the pavement has to be routed up to the gate (post).

On the post, the Ring Door Bell with constant power also from the external cable and the electric opener for the gate. So that everything is basically close together.

From this post, it must then be routed under the pavement again to be able to control the other post (2nd leaf). It would be great, of course, if there was a gate that could be operated from only one post (not a sliding gate). A single leaf would be too large. My driveway is about 6.2m wide. I have seen that there are 2-leaf folding gates. I would like it if the gate including the pedestrian gate covered the entire width of the driveway. To keep the swing area of both leaves relatively small in order not to waste a parking space behind it.

a single-leaf folding gate? Sounds interesting, as I assume that would eliminate the cable dragging to the 2nd post?

Ultimately, it is also a question of price....

Is the cable not in a conduit? Then you could simply pull in the additionally needed ones. The gates usually only require power. Control with radio is integrated. For doorbell/video, external control, you need additional cables.
