Since front doors are closed 99% of the day, this is usually unproblematic.

May I ask how far along you are with the construction? Is it perhaps possible to rationalize away that strange corner to the right of the front door? Then a lot would resolve itself, I think.

The ground floor is now finished. The projection cannot be omitted. We are building with a developer in a new housing estate, where it is required that the houses or semi-detached houses all look the same; the door swing may not be changed, and we are not even allowed to change the colors of the roller shutters (this is a requirement for the building permit from the city). We have to live with it and make the best of it.

I have just spoken with our electrician, he would recommend the location for the video doorbell at the red dot. My concern is that if we install the doorbell at the red dot, visitors will stand too close to the front door. How would you see it? Which spot would you recommend for the installation?

Unfortunately, you are going in circles ;) I do share your concern and personally wouldn't mount it at the red dot, but that's not what you want to hear :)
