What exactly from Gira? With Gira, you probably only get a doorbell without anything for 500 euros. In one offer, we have a video system from Gira for 2000,- net, that would be the dimension of Sebastian79.

I left out the video - but a field is prepared anyway. However, I am increasingly realizing that it would only be a gimmick in a single-family house...

Unfortunately, I also didn't find a camera module (just the module) that offers good quality and can be operated with its own web server.

On the other hand, my mailbox opens with ekey.

to put it very mildly: that is exactly the crappy thing we currently have. It looks very cheap (unfortunately much worse in reality than in the photos), the ringtone is hell, and above all, the control unit crashes every 4 weeks and has to be rebooted....!!!

The video option is indeed just a nice to have for my pronounced play instinct. That would be dispensable. Only there seem to be keyboard and fingerprint solutions very often only in connection with video.

And since we will have a motor lock in the door that always locks the door completely, keyless access would be a nice thing. Back then I (perhaps stupidly) did not order the fingerprint sensor in the door because the manufacturer did not want to tell me what technology they use. And there is really a wide range from "insecure and very easy to bypass" to "really good and basically uncrackable". Maybe that was a mistake, then the choice would be much easier now.
