Well, whoever wants to get in, gets in - there is never complete security... But everything with radio is inherently less secure. A mechanical lock only provides limited protection. The control of the eKey is located in the basement, making it quite inaccessible. The print can be copied - like [others] as well. But it IS supposed to be quite secure.

We have planned this fingerprint sensor for the garage:

Gira Keyless In Fingerprint System 55.. approx. 800 euros

The PIN version costs slightly less. The PIN version also offers 2 relay outputs that can be linked with different PINs. I can't think of a good added value right now, otherwise I would choose the PIN version.

Parcel courier receives code, with which he can only open one section of the gate.

GIRA is overpriced - and allegedly prone to errors. I would look around again...

Especially since the fingerprint scanner on the garage is quite oversized - how often do you really go there by hand?

Yes, when I just look at what their video equipment costs, especially if you want a large indoor monitor, it makes me dizzy. Well, and now someone has also dealt with the radio keys themselves and found the security hole. That makes the "normal" cars vulnerable as well. I do love the convenience of my keyless system. Most fingerprint readers today have additional sensors that make illegal access more difficult. But if someone has the criminal energy to steal, copy, and then use my fingerprint, then nothing else would stop him either. For access systems, you really have to inform yourself about security and also see what protection options the manufacturer offers. These usually make sense but also cost extra. But everyone has their own ideas about that.

But everything also runs through their servers - therefore neither secure in connection nor in the future, if the servers are ever shut down.
