What I also wanted to mention is that we were interested in the Gira system 126967 and could get it very cheaply, but we have read several times on the internet that the video quality is supposed to be very poor. Now the question is whether this system or the suitable indoor device is really that terrible and whether it can possibly be replaced by an indoor device from another manufacturer?

Best regards

We will probably take the Somfy V 400 with 2 indoor stations. However, there are only a few reports about this.

Hello,
I'm jumping in here because we are currently also in the shell construction phase.
What kind of wiring do most video door intercom systems require?
Do I need network (CAT7) at all relevant points (driveway gate, front door, and indoor station) or is the standard wiring for video door intercom systems proposed by the electrician sufficient here?
And can I also integrate my IP cameras into such a system?

Best regards

We have changed our minds again. The plan now is a 2-wire bus video door intercom system from GOLIATH with a flush-mounted outdoor station and 2 indoor stations. Described quite well on the website.

I basically like the Goliath system too. I just don’t find the outdoor unit very attractive, at least in the pictures I’ve seen online. Does anyone have a photo of an installed outdoor unit?

I would install an additional camera slightly offset from the entrance, for example a Mobotix DualFlex S15/S16 with a 180-degree panorama, then you can see EVERYTHING in front of your house facade

...by the way, the cameras are also available in a "vandalism" version that is "bulletproof"! And sometimes you can find refurbished ones on Ebay very cheaply
