The electrician said that LED recessed spotlights cost about €10 each, which I think is completely fine.

Good idea!

The electrician said he generally uses Gira products, for example for switches/sockets.

What does "upgraded" mean? From the offer I can’t tell which model it is. But I would ask about that in more detail and check myself...
Thanks for the tips!!

There is just a range from price x to y. That doesn't mean they are necessarily worse. Ours cost €8 on Amazon. That could certainly explain the slightly "higher" price if they cost over €100. Nevertheless, the "preparation" without light bulbs at other providers also easily costs €100 each. Unfortunately, it is not specified in detail what he charges for that.

He will surely have gone through the switch program etc. with you. The standard thermostats often look like this.

I would have thought that you also chose a higher-quality model there, which one could procure oneself to save some money. Maybe a higher-quality model is already the standard. I would definitely inquire about that again.

Let yourself be broken down what exactly is included in the offer. Another example is the Gira intercom system. There are also different types with prices ranging from - to.

Gira ranges from simple standard to luxury – the mere statement "Gira" does not allow any assessment.

Thank you! That is exactly what I will do. I have received reference offers through friends, which include detailed descriptions of individual components and a price list. There are also differences in recessed spotlights ranging from €8 to over €120. It may be that the electrician is offering me something good and high-end. Unfortunately, I don’t see in the offer...

I already told you, you have many cost drivers in there. If you were to remove them or replace them with something else, you would most likely reduce the costs by almost half. Even without prices listed, you can "see" that the numbers are getting bigger and bigger.

For example, USB sockets, recessed spotlights (I bet they really went overboard here), sauna, supply lines for electric car(s), and of course the intercom system.

But of course, I am not a clairvoyant and could be wrong.
