Since I have the same requirements as you, I would be interested to know which device you decided on and whether you are satisfied?

Have you installed the VDV system in the meantime? Are you satisfied?

Best regards
Grobi

The decision has not been made yet on our side. Our electrician also wanted to ask around again. Once a decision has been made, I will gladly let you know. In any case, the decision is more difficult than expected...

Hello everyone,

This topic is currently very much on my mind. We are looking for a video intercom system for a single-family house, with a fixed station inside the house, which should also be operable via an app in the same way. So to see the image, talk, and open the door, all from the phone or tablet. The system itself can be directly wired, with operation via the app over Wi-Fi. What I don't want is for the camera's image to first run through some server and then onto our devices. What bothers me here is the time delay, as I have read that this can sometimes take up to 30 seconds. This should apply to well-known brands like Siedle, Busch Jäger and others. How is it with GOLIATH? For us, it is secondary to use the app outside of our own Wi-Fi, although I think that would be included as well. I would be very grateful for experiences especially with the app and the time delay, or tips! Best regards Daniel

IP-based systems are best suited for this. For example, we have the 2n IP Verso. There is also an indoor counterpart called Indoor Touch for this. Everything is wired via network cables, and power can be supplied via PoE or a separate conductor.

The device has an extremely wide range of functions, e.g., it can also be connected to SIP-enabled telephone systems (e.g., FritzBox) and can be integrated into other environments via WebServices. Additionally, there are various add-on components like RFID, NFC, KeyPad, etc. And then there is also a smartphone app.

In terms of price, it starts at around €800 for the simple outdoor device with a camera and €700 for the indoor unit, still below comparable systems from Siedle and Gira.
