It's very kind of you how much you worry about my car and the cold fingers. The concern is unfounded. I go to work on foot. Scraping... hardly necessary, usually the de-icer spray is enough anyway. And we have snow only a few days in winter... so what. I am now turning 59 and have never had a garage car. Never desired, never missed. Karsten

Does that mean the old and the new house are both located at the workplace?

Hehe, it was 100 cars. So with 20, I didn't even notice it. But the noise humanity constantly makes is already annoying me. That's why we specifically moved to the countryside. Before, we lived in a terraced house in a small town. Kids to the left, right, front, and back. We regularly fled to our parents on Sundays because it was so loud you couldn't stand it. Now we are so happy about the silence. A real luxury nowadays.

Ok, if that only happens with you three times a year, then I would think differently about it too.

We do this almost every day in the morning for three months, and then the world looks different.

But where do bicycles etc. go with you then?
We have very high-quality bicycles (MTB, racing bike, cyclocross etc.) and just for that, since unfortunately we do not have a garage, there is a lockable garden shed (which wouldn't have to be so elaborate if we had a correspondingly large garage).

Regarding 11ant: Yes. We are moving within the town.
Regarding Climbee: We have two bicycles. (Those NL things, Sparta/Eindhoven) They can go into the garage, right? Also the lawn mower. Still, there is enough space for a workbench and two metal shelves. If a garden shed should be needed later... ok. The space would be there. The property is big enough. Karsten

Karsten, the question was directed at the garage refusers

Unfortunately, we don't have a garage, which is why there is the need to create another storage option for our expensive bicycles.

A large garage with more possibilities than just parking the car inside is something I personally find great!
