Maybe it shouldn't be done at 5:45

Otherwise, you can also see it sportingly: motor on and then quickly clear all four sides (completely, not just peek holes) usually takes me 1 to a maximum of 2 minutes. Doing this 3-4 times a year, I don't even see the point in buying a parking heater. It's an investment that maybe saves me 5 minutes over the year. At some point, it becomes pointless...

I don't see the exhaust fumes too critically. If 25,000 cars pass by a main road every day (and you have the same air in the car; the highway is even more critical), that's bad. A single car, in my case a gasoline car without direct injection, won't immediately kill your lungs.

The time is irrelevant: § 30 StVO

Firstly, it is not unnecessary because otherwise, the interior would fog up again immediately from the inside in a cold environment, which poses a safety risk. Secondly, the StVO would not apply on private property.

Is replaced by common sense. I prefer to let it warm up for 3 minutes rather than maneuver through the streets using a peephole, as is often seen on the road.

True, on private property the OWiG applies.
I don’t care what you do, but your ideas are not exactly minor offenses just because you choose them.
I always have to smile when a week later a thread is started discussing plasticizers, potential savings on heating by 5€, or neighbor noise through controlled residential ventilation or some pump.

But everyone always likes to make an exception for themselves and has counterarguments ready.

These are not petty offenses because they are not offenses at all. Absolutely right.

However, I also find it strange what people get upset about. Just recently I heard again about something where the neighbor does a) and b) and c) and I thought every time, well, let him do it, his good right and it wouldn't bother me. But it doesn't bother me either if the neighbors below us turn up the music during the day or the children above us stomp loudly sometimes. There are said to be people who immediately run up/down and make a big fuss. Or what was it recently here, the naughty playing children on the street and the 30 cars a day passing by the garden... Oh dear
