Terrace roofing - finding the right materials and companies

We are currently having a roof installed, 5x4 meters in RAL 7016 with 2 posts. Since 2 posts are needed, we had to use a steel beam. The covering is glass. Why? It looks nicer. Poly always reminds me of allotment gardens, and a friend of mine has often had problems with his poly roof on New Year's Eve when some fireworks ended up landing on the roof.

We are also getting an under-roof shading and a glass sliding wall with side shading.
Purchased from AS Terrassendach. They were the cheapest in the price comparison.

Why is it that only polycarbonate is always mentioned here as an alternative to glass? There is also acrylic, which in my opinion is much more of an alternative in terms of appearance to the more expensive and heavier laminated safety glass (VSG). Is there something I don't know?

the canopy has been installed for me. Now I notice (especially on cold days) that water drips in the middle. Allegedly, it is condensation water.
How is it for you?

today I saw at the neighbor's that the cover (at the connection point between the top glasses) also has a sliding (click) profile. For us (KD roof) the profile is only screwed on. I fear that rain/water might come in through the screws.

It looks the same with us as with you (AS terrace roof) but the roof is sealed
