So in our new development area, there are only aluminum with glass variants.
Friends have 5.5m x 3m with shading and LED spots and paid 11k.
We also got 2 quotes for 4m × 3m without shading and spots and they were once 6k and once 7k.
And there are no movable side walls included.

So personally, we will probably decide on an awning. It provides sun protection and protection from drizzle.
If you want to sit outside in spring/autumn, you probably need side walls too, but unfortunately, that is too expensive for us at the moment.

Thank you for your contributions. I will get back to you in more detail in the coming days because of this. I only have a quick question: What is the deal with Switchglas?

The price driver in this case is the size. If you consider that a standard roof is 3 x 4 (ok... I also find that quite borderline, because things quickly get wet in depth), you are planning with 4 x 7, 30 more than double that. Then the extra work with the execution, 2 sliding doors... LED doesn’t cost much. If you now calculate this against a size that is purchased on average, you are with 19000 in the lower inexpensive range. Is installation included? ETICS? Foundations? How many supports do you have at the front? How thick are the beams? Keep in mind that you need a building permit (deeper than 3 meters)

LED doesn't cost much? Those are high three-digit amounts... compared to a 20 € wall spotlight from the hardware store, that's already very expensive... but it is nicer!

Not with us. At least with a €10,000 terrace roof, a small three-digit amount was not really noticeable. You can also leave it out and stick with your hardware store spotlight. Comparing a spotlight with 6/9/12 built-in dimmable LEDs is also an art here that not everyone masters ;)

Hello everyone! So we are also very satisfied with our canopy from KD! I can only refer to the corresponding thread here in the forum ("KD Überdachung Erfahrungen")! There are also many pictures posted!
