So, three supports are planned at the front. One on the left (the side with 2 meters depth), one on the right (the side with 4 meters depth), and one at the point where the terrace begins to slope diagonally from 4 meters depth to 2 meters depth. Foundations are included as well as the installation on WDVS. The plan is to drill at the height of the floor slab and glue threaded rods in. Shading would specifically be Warema W10 under-roof, two-part with two motors and two remote controls. Additionally, 13 LED spots would be included.

I have to take care of the cutting (notching for the posts) and reinstallation of the three terrace slabs that will be removed at the points for the posts. I do not have the exact dimensions of the posts right now.

§ 62 Permission-Free Construction Projects, Removal of Installations
g) Terrace roofs with an area up to 30 m² and a depth up to 4.50 m, balcony glazing as well as balcony roofs up to 30 m² floor area, conservatories up to 30 m² gross floor area in buildings of building classes 1 to 3 with a minimum distance of 3 m to the neighbor boundary

There was apparently a change in this point in 2018 or 2019 that now offers more leeway. We have 4 meters depth, 26.2 sqm area, and keep the 3-meter boundary distance on both sides, so the roofing is permission-free.

We will submit a plan change. We now believe that it makes no sense to close the left side with the 2 meters depth. We want to remove this point. This would eliminate a floor leveling beam, a three-part glass sliding wall, as well as a glass wedge. I am curious how this will affect the price.

I had linked the Building Regulations of NRW here without permission. Well, I’ll just accept that, but I wanted to at least restore the context with this.

I haven't really made any progress yet. At least I have come to the realization that I don't want a frameless glass sliding wall, but something that closes more "tightly."

The weather was so nice yesterday... I had to take this photo.. The low winter sun brings sunlight deep into the rooms.

That looks nice. It suits your house and style well. For us, however, I think it wouldn't fit.

We have now placed an order for a canopy. It will start mid to late March. The side sliding wall will now be made with panes framed in profiles to make it nicely sealed. There will be 13 LED spots. Remote control for the two awnings. Square posts, but round gutter trim, as we want a "heavier" look.
