We are in Ellhofen … unfortunately, it was due to cables in the ceiling - no one had thought about that - those under the plaster were all documented photographically - unfortunately, not those in the ceiling … otherwise all good … I would still recommend that you measure yourself beforehand where the ceiling is and where you should approximately drill. Trust is good - control is better We only had continuous power once and then distributed it in the canopy to the awning under the roof, side awning, and 2 x 6 lights. Didn’t want to make you crazy. Just sharing a few tips…

three gentlemen were at my place today around 10:00 a.m. They will be finished by about 4:00 p.m.: - one pane was damaged during transport (approx. 4cm2) - they will deliver the sun sail afterwards. - I only have permanent power too. Now we distribute it with 12 LEDs Around 4:00 p.m. they drive on to Ellhofen (to you?)

Are there any experiences here with terrace roofs from the hardware store for self-assembly? Can a "normal" hobby DIYer with decent tools manage that?
With another online configurator provider, I found a PDF manual for download that describes self-assembly. It doesn't look too difficult.
Also: So far it sounds like all the previous writers had their roofs installed. How much does that cost approximately as an extra charge?

I watched how the installer from KD works. In my opinion: of course you can assemble it yourself. The most difficult part, I find, is with the glass. Everything else can be done by 2 people (preferably 3). Additional cost: with KD it costs 1000€ (including foundation)

Thank you for the information! I will reflect and assess whether the installation is worth the 1000€.

I'm currently asking myself the same questions. Especially because we still haven’t clearly decided for or against the glass. The latter is very difficult and time-consuming to install, so it would probably be better to have that done. Otherwise, the assembly shouldn’t be rocket science. Two days ago, I received a statement from a company saying that they do not install themselves but only deliver and can arrange/commission an installation company. I would have to expect around 1,500 EUR for this (30 sqm glass roof).
