First of all. We did not build with KD. For our 6m roof, we recessed the posts by 1m, so they are not corner posts. That way we only needed 2.

Or also sometimes get a comparative offer from Dreku, they can do it at 5m width without a central post because of the steel-reinforced beam and were also the cheapest at our time.

Sorry, I am only rarely here anymore. We have only two and a reinforced beam for that. 3 are only necessary without the beam.

Hello everyone,
I ordered from KD. It will be installed in about 3 weeks.
I ordered with 3 gates: 3.5m x 6m.
The advisor at KD (Göppingen) came to see me. He is very competent, friendly. Let's see how it goes.

I had a bad experience with "He.. & Ha..". Never met such an advisor before.

The one from Göppingen we also had. He was very friendly and delivered as ordered. I would only recommend being present during the assembly and coordinating the appointment in advance as well as making sure they have everything with them. With us, during a repair, they said they would also bring the ordered side awning but completely forgot it. Otherwise, they were good. They speak almost no German – so just communicate with hands and feet. If necessary, call the salesperson and he will translate. Show them exactly where they are allowed to drill and where not, due to possible external power lines or ones running in the ceiling. Unfortunately, we hit a bullseye here. No external line, but one in the ceiling. In the end, it was more a combination of unfortunate circumstances. KD really could not do much about it. They just wanted to drill 5 cm next to it again if I hadn’t stopped them. So my recommendation is to be present. If cables need to be extended, do it yourself or have your electrician do it. They are very rough and even wanted to strip cables with package tape!!!! If you have several drives, make sure they have the same radio standard or that you get a suitable multi remote control from Somfy. Think carefully about where you want the lights. You have to discuss it very precisely with them on assembly day, especially if you also want to control them with a remote. There are solutions to put a Somfy radio module in front and then operate everything with one remote. That’s how we did it. Depending on how big your canopy will be: 6 lights are really enough for us at 5 x 3.5 m. Luckily, since we had 12 including, we had them switched separately. Just a few experiences – pitfalls that just one person has stumbled over. In the end, we are really happy and satisfied now.

Thanks for the valuable experience.
Now I am a bit nervous. I will definitely be there during assembly.
Drilling: I hope the installers know where the ceiling is.
I have 2x 5-core cables (1 with switch, 1 permanent power) exactly in the middle. I will only get 6 LEDs + 1 sun sail. I will connect the LEDs myself.
Luckily I signed the contract at the end of July (for ~7k). Now customer service increased the price.
Where did you build your house? I am in Weinsberg (Heilbronner Fußweg).
