I say yes, we like the ground floor. For the upper floor, regarding bedroom, dressing room, bathroom, for example the solution called Lifestyle 29 appeals to me, even without naming the company or website. You enter the dressing room and at the end of the dressing room you go right to the sleeping area and left to the bathroom. I would make the dressing room itself without a door. The advantage of the layout where the dressing room leads to the bedroom and the dressing room leads to the bathroom is that the children can also use the bathroom without having to go through the parents' bedroom. Now one would still need a small, separate bathroom for the children with a shower and, of course, 2 children's rooms.
How high to make the knee wall, well that is a question. If I make about a 2-meter knee wall and then a gable roof? That really shouldn’t impose any practical limitations and should remain cost-effective.
So now somehow make a rough whole out of this ground floor, this upper floor part idea and this exterior view. We will keep thinking...
