Here it is still a half-turn staircase
I think what wrote was somewhat generalized and applies to urban villa designs.
If you plan _under_ 10 x 10, then a straight staircase becomes difficult, especially since you still want to have one or the other room accessible in a "narrower" space. Often the length of a straight staircase is a problem. Of course, if you simply omit one or the other room with 150 sqm, it works again. What always remains, however, is the large hallway - just about these roughly 4 meters.

We have a straight staircase
Space requirement approx. 17 sqm including walkways
The house exterior dimensions are 11 x 11 m and must not be smaller, otherwise it will be difficult to plan a room at the end of a hallway.
We have relatively few rooms on the floor area.

If you can afford it, a straight staircase is fine. But not if you plan the staircase to be steeper or narrower, or place a dryer on top of the washing machine because there is not enough space.

After the floor plan you linked was heavily criticized in another forum and also called unrefined by my colleague’s brother, who is an architect, we consulted 3 architects.

What came out was something completely different than what was shown. A flat-roofed building with exterior dimensions on the ground floor of 14.74m by 18.27m and on the upper floor of 11.74m by 9.99m. Including a straight staircase.

I don't mean the windows rounded but to complete the style with it. Wrong choice of words. More like to hint at. So the windows should be square. And not brick like in the first one. Also not like in the second one or rather the latter in a very simplified form. I am attaching. The window surrounds and again around the house at the edges.

If you plan an open floor plan like the original poster, then a straight staircase as a dividing element between the living and dining areas is no longer a problem in terms of floor space. Especially since she is not planning a guest room either.
