I also have to smile at this contradiction: I hardly know anyone anymore who has curtains in a new building, not even those who don’t live minimalist.

Just to be clear, I am not building this house for my visitors. And if my family comes to visit once a year, it should be obvious that this is not a top priority. Who says you can't mix styles? It's actually the opposite, so please. The style can very well be minimalist with curtains. As mentioned, you can mix. Symmetry and modernity are not a contradiction at all. There is also Neo Classic. It’s not an extreme. That I put an industrial concrete wall in a country house style

That is supposed to be an integrated table at the kitchen island. Well, I know from my relatives and acquaintances, and I was a teenager once too – it was enough to retreat to your own room. I don’t know what would have changed if I had 220 sqm? The children would still only have one room. So I find this argument ridiculous. Each child has about 15 sqm.

Where do I say that? Are you building without money? 280k. I already said that plus incidental costs. If it works out with the Polish stair builders, a wooden folding structure will come. If not, normal concrete ones.

You can't just say flat out that the rise and run have to be 120,150 for a straight staircase and that per floor. I was recently in a show home in Falkensee. And there was a straight staircase right when you entered, basically along the exterior wall - on the right. And it was really a symphony. Amazing! You see that all the time in various architectural magazines. Whether it fits into our house is another matter. That's why I want to hear your opinions and experiences - bring them on! I also don't understand why to make the staircase 1 m wide. For what? To walk through it for a few seconds once. It will be narrower.

You just must not forget that, for example, furniture etc. have to be carried upstairs. And such a couch in the children's room can be very cumbersome - as my own experience has painfully taught me....
