: Wow, thank you very much for the effort! That indeed looks much more straightforward, I like it a lot. I also tried to put something together in that form last night, but kept failing....
I personally don’t think the location of the kitchen is bad at all, but I would also include a (glass) door from the hallway into the living room.
No, no customers come there. And only the (probably) few overnight guests as visitors. So the location of the room in the house is not that important to us. In contrast to the short way from the front door to the pantry/kitchen...
Yes, that also bothered me about the original design. Maybe you can just “mirror” the layout upstairs, e.g., with RomeoZwo’s floor plan putting the bedroom, dressing room, and master bath to the top of the plan and the children’s rooms below? Then the children’s bathroom would be directly next to the bedroom and the balcony would only be accessible from the children’s room...
True, we will also include that in the planning. In what way do you think the parking space in front is impractical? I don’t really see many options where the second parking space could otherwise be placed (currently we only have one car and no need).
Personally, I don’t really like the position of the kitchen / pantry on the ground floor. I would like to have a glass door to the dining area opposite the stairs to give the staircase a somewhat more open effect. But at the moment I can’t come up with a good idea...

Do customers/guests come into the office? Otherwise, a more central position in the house might be conceivable, and you could play with living - dining - kitchen - office.

Stupid word recognition... children’s rooms should not be located in the north.

The carport should also please be drawn in, because a carport “next to” the front door could also become very tight. Parking in front of a carport might only be impractical on weekends.
