Yes, child in the north is okay in itself, but of course that ruins the entire window front for us, since we previously had two "corner windows" one above the other.

Mirroring the kitchen and shower bathroom downstairs is rather pointless

Form follows function!

Which version are you on now? Which room would then be bottom right on the plan that couldn’t tolerate a corner window?

Apart from that, I wouldn’t know why the front is ruined if there aren’t two corner windows one above the other.
For whom actually? The 50 neighboring households? Then rather a children's room with 2.5m width?

I understand.

I will work on new plans with the architect next week and get back to you. But thank you already for your feedback, that was helpful.

On the ground floor, I think a big double door is not necessary, and that would give me enough wall space in the hallway and a bit more wall for the kitchen and possibly a SBS refrigerator.

I thought south is almost west? So NNW? Then there is great evening sun. Children usually bother much less about noise than adults, but that is an individual decision.

Why do you actually need the storage room on the ground floor? It would be a great coatroom. But if it is only meant for storage, I would eliminate it. After all, you have a basement.

The utility/housekeeping room in the basement with almost 20 sqm is already very spacious, but you can certainly put shelves and cabinets in there for storage. Although I would divide it differently. The room at the top right (playroom, but probably a second office?) flush with the office. Extend the corridor a bit. If there is no direct access.

And if you want to place the terrace on the right in the corner as drawn, I would definitely move the light well of the fitness room upwards according to the plan.

Show the facade so one can see how changes would affect it.

Storage room on the ground floor can partly also become a cloakroom, that’s true.

I don’t quite understand your basement layout, do you mean this?

I can’t find the facade right now, but I will incorporate your ideas into updates next week and post them here then.
