I honestly don't really want to share a wall with a children's room.

We have a really beautiful view on that side. We bathe a lot and enjoy it, and I imagine it would be very nice from the bathtub.

We use the bedroom for sleeping/being sick, the view is nice there too, but I think it's better in the bathroom.

Yes, it's true I have never been in a house and thought: "This is such a beautiful bedroom, now I want to apply for Hartz4 and lie in bed for 5 years"

I don’t see a shower/toilet in the basement for guests+office; I would find that uncomfortable?? The ground floor has nice rooms but somehow the staircase is in the way; this squeezes the kitchen and results in 2 access doors; one of them right in front of the sofa. Also, the passage from dining to living past the fireplace feels cramped. On the upper floor: a children’s bathroom is often standard nowadays, I like the idea, even though we didn’t have it. However, I find 3 sinks really over the top. A simple sink, possibly 80 cm wide with shelves on the left and right, would be better and more than sufficient. As it is, it feels a bit like a youth hostel. If it is meant as a gimmick, okay, but I don’t see the benefit. Each child their own sink, all brushing their teeth at the same time…..the reality is probably different, right? I would rather invest elsewhere or include a smaller bathtub in the children’s bathroom.

That’s what you call attitude! By the way, I wouldn’t come up with anything else there except watching TV.

Yes, I don't like the ground floor like this either, so I thought about a platform staircase on the garage side. The fireplace passage is 1.30 wide and the fireplace is not supposed to go up to the ceiling, so I think it's okay as it is.

I believe the kitchen is currently 3.80 raw dimension. It's not small, but the door is in a stupid position at that spot. Moving the staircase to the left side of the hallway would ruin the storage room to the garage. It's like an unsolvable sudoku.

I have to admit, 3 sinks we find funny. Everyone gets their own 60cm base cabinet and 60cm mirror cabinet, and then you can see who keeps their stuff clean. My wife has many siblings and is traumatized.
