Hi,
we are currently planning our kitchen and visiting kitchen studios. Every time we mention that we want a refrigerator, freezer, and 0-degree zone all in one appliance, the salespeople make a face and say there are only a few of those.
At the weekend at MediaMarkt, we noticed that almost every freestanding fridge-freezer combination also has a 0-degree compartment – this seems completely normal there.
This led us to the question of whether it is simply because these are built-in refrigerators and freestanding ones might be a bit more flexible!? I am well aware that I can research all the appliances myself and buy the kitchen the way I want it. Perhaps, however, there are also real arguments for or against built-in combos? Of course, I have already thought about it, but I would be interested in your opinion and arguments on the topic!
Maybe some background: We want an open country-style kitchen. The location of the refrigerator is directly next to the tall cabinets (0 - 2.20m) and would therefore either stand free at the end of the kitchen or be integrated into the tall cabinets. The kitchen starts to the right of the refrigerator, and to the left is soon the access door to the living room.
What do you think?
Best regards
