Hello dear ones,

Thank you so much for all the answers!

We have received some information in the last few days. The houses were built as 2 independent houses that are additionally soundproofed with insulation on the shared side. According to the city, the plot is not one property but 2 independent, legally separate plots.

The outdoor area was planned so that the terraces are not next to each other but on the far left for the left house and on the far right for the right house.

The house has 125 sqm of living space on 2 levels plus a full basement, and the plots are 325 sqm and 360 sqm in size.

We have an appointment with the construction company next week, and we have already received the exposé in advance.

Currently, only the shell and windows are in place, but no screed, stairs, etc. that is still open. You can see the bricks and pipes, etc. are not laid yet.

I only have exterior pictures so far if that helps.

Regarding noise protection, you have already helped us a lot. Thank you very much for that! Now we only need to clarify whether a wall between 2 children's rooms on the upper floor could possibly be moved. We would also like to have the washing machine and dryer on the upper floor and not in the basement (as planned in the exposé). The question is whether such a change is still possible.

We currently have a masonry staircase here in the rental house and would like to have one like that in the house as well. Are there any advantages or disadvantages to a spiral steel-wood staircase?

What would you definitely discuss with the construction company in relation to the already existing shell and basement (I have already noted fire protection, insulation) since the shell is already standing?

Best regards

That would be a new approach for targeted advertising: bringing hearing aid ads to those affected indirectly through the neighbors

Take the boombox onto the terrace and meditate to Iron Maiden, maybe her taste can still be shaped
When we talk about "senior-friendly" building, it's always so narrowly focused on the topic of rollator door widths, while depending on the ailments, a much greater blessing is when a little hemp grows over the fence *grins*

Whatever you can show can help in advising you on what can be made of it. Regarding the basic question "buy yes or no," the essential has already been said: given the lack of miracle solutions, this property at first glance seems quite worth considering within the realm of possibilities.

Also important is the location, as well as the location and furthermore the location - and the price.

What could that possibly mean

That's great!

Yeah, show them. Is there a roof on it?

You have to see where that could go. The bathroom is bad, and your masons are finished, right?

That's hard to get in now. What's wrong with wood or steel?

Hello, I am now going to try to upload a few pictures online. As I said, we would have the opportunity to buy it now. The company originally planned to sell it turnkey, we have already found out about it by chance and called them immediately. If we join now, we could have a say in the further planning.

Therefore, I only have a few photos from the outside, since we are not "allowed" on the construction site or inside the house, but hopefully we will soon have the opportunity to take a close look at the shell with the construction company and also discuss the details.

The location would be great, so we are currently thinking about it very seriously.

Why would a washing machine and dryer in the upstairs bathroom be bad? We would have liked to avoid carrying clothes down to the basement and back upstairs. According to their brochure, the upstairs consists of a bathroom, 2 children's rooms, and 1 bedroom.
